　　迷雾露珠 The Foggy Dew，背景是1916年爱尔兰爆发的复活节起义。一把苍凉高亢的女声穿过一世纪的硝烟，歌唱着庄严的死亡。

　　最近这首民谣单曲循环得不能自拔，于是自己试着译了一下歌词~

　　在一个复活节清晨 As down the glen one Easter morn

　　我驶下山谷赶往镇上集场 To a city fair rode I,

　　一行行武装出军的男人 There armed lines of marching men

　　列队经过我的身旁 In squadrons passed me by.

　　没有风笛呜鸣 No pipe did hum, no battle drum

　　也不闻战鼓轰然敲响 Did sound its loud tattoo

　　只有利菲河上奉告祈祷的钟音 But the Angelus' bells o'er the Liffey swells

　　回荡过浓雾茫茫 Rang out in the foggy dew.

　　都柏林城骄傲的高处 Right proudly high in Dublin town

　　他们挂出了战旗飞扬 Hung they out a flag of war.

　　与其在苏瓦或赛德埃尔巴尔 'Twas better to die 'neath an Irish sky

　　不如在爱尔兰的天空下死亡 Than at Suvla or Sud el Bar.

　　从米斯郡王室的草原上 And from the plains of Royal Meath

　　强壮的男人们奔涌而来 Strong men came hurrying through;

　　而布列塔尼亚的蛮人扛着长枪 While Brittania's Huns with their long-range guns

　　向此出航，穿过迷雾茫茫 Sailed in through the foggy dew.

　　勇士倒下，丧钟悼亡 The bravest fell, and the requiem bell

　　为在一年开春之时 Rang mournfully and clear

　　那些复活节季的死者 for those who died that Easter-tide

　　鸣响得哀伤而清亮 In the springing of the year.

　　向孤军作战却无所畏惧的人们 While the world did gaze with deep amaze

　　这个世界侧目而望 At those fearless men but few

　　而我们虽将战争担承 Who bore the fight that freedom's light

　　却能见自由之光穿透浓雾茫茫 Might shine through the foggy dew.

　　我又一次驶下山谷 Ah, back through the glen I rode again,

　　伤痛的心承载着悲怆 And my heart with grief was sore

　　因那时我与勇士们各行其路 For I parted then with valiant men

　　从此再见不到他们的脸庞 Whom I never shall see more

　　但反反复复我梦回那处 But to and fro in my dreams I go

　　双膝跪地为你们祈祷 And I'd kneel and pray for you

　　为摆脱奴役，那光荣的死亡 For slavery fled, O glorious dead,
